Like most pet shops, we mainly sell "small furries".
Although we always keep a stock of hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs, we prefer to order other pets for people. Most customers want baby animals to bond with and it is usually much easier to tame a pet when it is young. Rather than have animals growing old in the shop it is better to order for people. There will be a short wait while we source the animals but it helps stop impulse purchases and most people are quite happy to wait for the right pet. The exception to this rule is syrian hamsters which, of course, get handled every day. The longer they stay with us the tamer they get and, as they are solitary creatures and don't particularly bond with anyone, new pet owners are better off having a slightly older hamster.
The pets we sell most of are hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs (in that order).
The pets we mostly recommend are guinea pigs, rats, hamsters and degus (in that order).
